The Nomad ATC is a Dutch product and is assembled entirely in-house. We consciously choose top-quality components that we subject to rigorous practical testing. Specifications
- Dimensions: 1700 x 1030 x 1370 mm (L x W x H). Note: The height is adjustable for easy transport or storage, for example.
- Net weight: 130 kg.
- Maximum load: 140 kg.
- Maximum speed: 6 km/h.
- Range: 35 km (depending on selected terrain and driving style. The range can be easily extended with the optional quick-change battery system).
- Zero turning radius. The Nomad ATC literally turns in place thanks to the rotating rear wheel. This allows for extremely sharp turns, for example, on busy beaches, narrow forest paths, or on obstacle-ridden paths (please note, for safety reasons, a “swinging tail” of approximately 88 cm long).
Components
- The frame, canopy, and footboard are made of high-quality (#316) stainless steel and finished with a double-layer powder coating (matte black frame and footboard, blue canopy, unless otherwise agreed).
- Fasteners, bolts, etc. are made of high-quality (#316) stainless steel.
- Pneumatic, low-pressure balloon tires with a knobby tread for extra grip on loose surfaces. Solid, maintenance-free anti-tip wheels at the front.
- 1200W motors, IP66, stainless steel, with a torque of 186Nm.
- R-Net electronics. R-Net is the global market leader in this field, guaranteeing quality, safety, and ease of service wherever you are.
- TUV-certified bucket seat for fantastic seating comfort and optimal safety. The seat is adjustable and equipped with holes for (optional) seat belt systems.
- Comfortable armrests that are adjustable in height and width and can be easily folded away if desired.
- High-quality (#316) stainless steel footrest, removable and height-adjustable for easy entry from the front and a comfortable seating position.
- Joystick controls that are adjustable and movable from left to right, and can be easily disconnected for operation by an attendant.
- High-quality lithium battery pack with a range of 35 km (depending on driving style and selected surface). Optionally, the driving time can be easily extended as desired with our quick-change battery system.
- Front and rear lights optimize visibility and are powerful enough for comfortable use in the dark or in fog. This is especially safe when riding in places where other visitors wouldn’t expect you!
Optional extras:
- Lap belt or four-point harness.
- Quick-change battery system. This allows you to easily and manually replace a (low) battery, so the chair can continue to operate. Ideal for rental locations, shared use, or long day trips!
- Custom seat mounting (for example, custom bucket seats or seats).
- Alternative steering systems or custom controls are available.
Operation
- The Nomad ATC is operated as standard with a joystick control from R-Net. This global market leader guarantees high-quality and safe electronics. Our proprietary control program creates a control system that is easy to use on any surface, suitable for both beginners and experienced electric wheelchair users.
- Optional custom controls (custom controls and/or a custom joystick) are available.
- The Nomad ATC comes standard with five drive profiles. Each profile has five speed settings. This allows for comfortable driving on any surface, regardless of the user’s experience with electric wheelchairs and/or joystick controls. This makes the Nomad ATC extremely versatile and suitable for a wide range of applications.
- The joystick is adjustable and easily moved from left to right. It can also be easily detached for operation by an attendant.
- The seat (backrest), armrests, and footboard are all adjustable for an optimal seating position. The backrest can be adjusted in angle, the armrests in height and width, and the footboard in height.
- The lights can be switched on with a separate light switch.
- The battery charger can be connected to an external charging plug, which is easily accessible but safely concealed at the front of the frame.

- The Nomad ATC complies with the ISO 7176 and NEN-EN 12184 standards.
- The Nomad ATC complies with the European regulations for medical devices (MDR 2017/745).
- The Nomad ATC meets the main essential requirements for the Class 1 Medical Quality Mark. This includes safety and performance, labeling and instructions for use, and post-market surveillance.
